Bio
Les Gilliam is the official “Oklahoma Balladeer”, so designated by the Oklahoma State Legislature in 1998. He is a native of Gene Autry, OK and is a singer, songwriter and recording artist. In 2005, he received the most prestigious award in Western Music, the coveted “Wrangler Award” from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. In 2006, he was nominated for the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. Also in 2006, Les received the “Governor’s Arts Award” from the Governor of Oklahoma.

Les’ concerts of cowboy, western swing, country and/or gospel music include fascinating stories about the songs and the artists who performed them. He always includes original songs and humorous material, adding a touch of nostalgia and good ole fashion patriotism. He has recorded 13 albums and two videos. He has recently been featured on the Westerns Channel celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the life of cowboy movie star and singer Gene Autry. Les and his Silver Lake Band will soon appear for the 12th consecutive year at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.

Les has also  performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the International Country Music Festival in Vienna, Austria, The Gene Autry Film and Music Festival in Gene Autry, Oklahoma, Rex Allen Days in Wilcox, Arizona, The Gene Autry Museum of the American West in California and many other festivals and events.
