Meeting Schedule: See Calendar
In accordance with the Oklahoma Open Meeting Law, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, Sections 301 and following as amended, the Wagoner County Free Fair Board of Directors, a governmental subdivision and public body of the State of Oklahoma, files with the County Clerk of Wagoner County, Oklahoma a schedule of “Regular” meetings for each calendar year. The Wagoner County Free Fair Board of Directors may call “Special Meetings in addition to the “Regular” scheduled meetings. All meeting announcements/agendas are filed with the Wagoner County Clerk and announcements/agendas are posted in public view at the Wagoner County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building entrance 24 hrs prior to the meeting.
Unless otherwise posted, all “Regular” meetings of the Wagoner County Fair Board are held at 7:30 PM on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Exhibit Building of the Wagoner County Fairground, 30058 E. 147th St. S. Coweta, OK 74429.
RESOLUTION 2010-003
NOTICE OF ELECTION OF FAIR BOARD MEMBERS
In compliance with Oklahoma Statutes, Title 2 § 15-68, which makes provisions for a Board of Directors for the Free Fair Association, the Wagoner County Board of County Commissioners hereby gives notice that an election will be held on Friday, February 19th, 2010 between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. at the office of the County Clerk at which time four (4) members will be elected to serve on the Free Fair Board. Mail-in ballots may be obtained by calling the County Clerk’s office no later than February 12th, 2010 at 918-485-7716.
Three (3) members will be elected for vacancies in District One and one (1) member will be elected to fill an expired term in District 2, each for a three (3) year term.
The voting place for each Commissioner’s District (First and Second) will be in the County Clerk’s Office, Wagoner County Courthouse. The Commissioners shall appoint a secretary to certify to the County Clerk the names of the Directors elected and the County Clerk shall keep a record thereof and shall issue to each person elected a certificate of election.
The four (4) members so elected, together with the five (5) holdover members: (Randy Foster [2012] & Doug Rexwinkle [2012] from District 2; Heath Holmes [2011], Ray Holmes [2011], & Susan Williams [2012]) will constitute a Board of Directors, which is vested with control of the Free Fair Association and the expenditures of all money levied and collected for the purpose of conducting said Fair.

RESOLUTION 2010-004
NOTICE OF FILING PERIOD FOR ELECTION OF FAIRBOARD MEMBERS
In compliance with the Oklahoma Statutes, Title 2, § 15-68, which makes provision for a Board of Directors for the Free Fair Association, the Wagoner County Board of Commissioners hereby give notice that there be a filing period for four (4) positions on the Wagoner County Free Fair Board: one to fill an expired term vacancy in District 2 and three to fill three vacancies in District 1.
The following conditions are set forth concerning the filing period:
The filing period will consist of five consecutive working days beginning Monday, February 8th, 2010 at 9:00 AM and ending Friday, February 12th, 2010 at 4:00 PM.
The election will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 P.M. in the County Clerk’s Office. Mail in ballots may be obtained by calling the County Clerk’s office no later than February 12th, 2010 at 485-7716.
Only registered voters of the county are eligible to file as candidates;
Any person so filing must reside in the commissioner’s district they seek to represent;
Prospective candidates must file at the County Clerk’s office during the times specified;
Three (3) members will be elected from District 1 Commissioner’s District for a three (3) year term. One (1) member will be elected from District 2 Commissioner’s District for a three (3) year term.
In the event there is not a candidate or candidates for the election to the Wagoner County Fair Board, the Commissioners of Wagoner County shall appoint a director for each position for which no candidates have filed by the close of the filing period. The appointment or appointments will be announced no later than two (2) weeks from the closing of the filing period.
