Oklahoma Tobacco Research Center (OTRC)
University of Oklahoma, Cancer Institute, Oklahoma City, OK - $1,100,000
Provides research to identify, evaluate, and disseminate best practices in tobacco control; translating research to practice for tobacco control projects in Oklahoma. Serves as a statewide collaborative, providing seed grants and bringing together researchers from a variety of disciplines and from various institutions throughout the state. FY 2008 begins an 18-month planning phase which will be followed by a three and a half year implementation phase.
Oklahoma Center for Adult Stem Cell Research (OCASCR)

Builds Oklahoma excellence in one of the fastest growing areas of medical research and serves as a trusted resource for public information.
