In September I have the privilege of hosting Oklahoma’s first-ever statewide Lt. Governor’s Young Professional Conference. The purpose of the conference is to bring together young professionals from across Oklahoma, facilitating breakout discussions on leadership and entrepreneurship, and political engagement. We will have keynote speakers as well as various breakout session speakers on the above mentioned topics and much more.
Even prior to being elected Lt. Governor, one of my priorities has been to keep our best and brightest young people in Oklahoma. They are the future of our state and will play a major role in moving Oklahoma forward. Valuable contributions are already being made to our state from some of these bright, creative, energetic young professionals. Our objective should be to mentor and encourage them as well as provide a business climate that allows them to stay and grow in Oklahoma.
This conference provides an environment where Oklahoma’s young professionals can connect with leaders from diverse backgrounds and fields of knowledge and experience. What a great opportunity for any young professional to glean ideas and visit with their peers in addition to some of Oklahoma’s finest leaders.
Renzi Stone, Chairman and CEO of Saxum, will keynote the luncheon session. Morning and afternoon breakout sessions will focus on entrepreneurship, leadership and political action as well as provide best practices on starting a young professional program in a community.
Speakers headlining these breakout sessions include:
