Where We Work
 WHERE WE WORK
Oklahoma's workforce spends almost half of their waking hours in the workplace. Due to the hours spent on the job, worksite wellness programs are a great way to improve the health of Oklahoma.
Worksite wellness can encourage and promote good health by simple behavior changes. Low-cost activities for companies include:
  • Healthy vending options
  • Flexible lunch and break times for physical activity
  • Private rooms for breastfeeding mothers
  • Flexible schedules for breastfeeding mothers
  • Breathe Easy, a tobacco-free workplace
  • Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline (1-800-QUIT-NOW)

These and other activities can result in healthy rewards, as well as employer savings. Employees who are physically active, eat well, and are tobacco-free, simply feel better. Plus, they have fewer sick days, higher morale, reduced healthcare costs, and increased productivity.

We challenge you to find ways to improve health where you work.

  • Organize a walking group
  • Issue a weight loss challenge
  • Host a stress management class
  • Promote employee health and fitness days
  • Start your own farmer's market
