Oklahoma State Statutes, Title 74, Chapter 37, Section 1325 requires the Employees Group Insurance Division (EGID) of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services to schedule a hearing thirty (30) days prior to adopting major changes to reimbursement rates or methodologies.  EGID must notify providers at least fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date. The hearing will be an open forum where providers will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes presented by EGID. In accordance with state statutes, this serves as notice regarding the date and time of this hearing.

In August, 2012, EGID established a facility task force consisting of the Oklahoma Hospital Association and providers with high utilization of the proposed reimbursement methodology changes.  A meeting was held with the task force presenting EGID’s original proposal based upon recommendations by EGID’s consultant, Berkeley Research Group (BRG).  The task force provided written feedback which was reviewed by EGID Staff and BRG.  A follow-up call was made with the task force where EGID responded to the major concerns including increasing the proposed reimbursement percentages from the original recommendation.

Beginning September 20, 2012, detailed descriptions of the proposed changes may be viewed at the OMES EGID website at www.ok.gov/sib/providers/.  Alternatively, you may receive the material by email or through the U.S. Mail.
