Lower Liability Coverage Requirements for Skilled Nursing Facilities

Effective October 1, 2011, HealthChoice will lower the minimum amount of general and medical liability coverage required for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) to $100,000 aggregate and $100,000 per occurrence.

HealthChoice is currently in the process of recruiting SNFs for the HealthChoice Provider Network. We hope that by lowering the amount of liability coverage required, it will facilitate the expansion of these provider networks. Please note that facilities must also meet all other contract requirements to be eligible.

To apply, complete and return the application along with the required attachments to the Provider Relations Division at the address or fax number listed on the signature page of the Contract.
