HealthChoice Medicare Supplement Plans
Specialty Medications

Plans Without Part D

Certain specialty medications are covered only when ordered from Accredo Health, the HealthChoice specialty pharmacy. If you don't order specialty medications through Accredo, you are responsible for the full cost.

Specialty medications are usually high-cost medications that are injected or require special handling.  Members pay the applicable copay for each 30-day fill of medication. Accredo provides free supplies, such as needles and syringes free shipping, refill reminder calls, and personal counseling with a registered nurse or pharmacist.

For more information, contact Accredo toll-free at 1-800-501-7260. TDD users call 1-800-759-1089.

Plans With Part D

You will continue to fill your specialty medications at your retail pharmacy; however, if you live outside Oklahoma, you have the option to order your specialty medications through Medco’s mail service pharmacy.

For more information about mail service, contact Medco at:

  • Members with Part D call toll-free 1-800-590-6828
  • TDD users call toll-free 1-800-716-3231

Note: Beginning March 2012, Part D members who live in Oklahoma will also have access to Medco’s mail service pharmacy.
