Macy;s Makes Musical Available Free to Schools, Offers Grants

Macy’s is making the script and score for “Yes, Virginia The Musical” free to all schools and will offer a grant program, awarding each of 100 participating schools a $1,000 grant to support productions of the musical. The grants will be awarded to the first 100 qualified schools that complete the application process through September 13.

Mock Election Gives Students a Voice

The My Voice™ National Student Mock Election recently opened "voter registration" for students participating in the program. The program gives students across the country the opportunity to cast their votes for candidates in both the federal and state elections, and to talk about the issues they care about this fall and beyond.

Oklahoma Elementary Schools Receive STEM Awards

Ten Oklahoma elementary schools recently were named K20 STEM–Building STEM-Ready Elementary Schools. The first-time designation comes with grant funds for teacher training at the schools in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. The program is sponsored by the Oklahoma State Department of Education in collaboration with the K20 Center.
