Amy Ford, a business owner, operated NEON, Inc., an emergency room staffing company, for over 18 years, employing more than 100 physicians with operations in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. Amy sold her company in 2009 to devote herself fulltime to more philanthropic endeavors. An adopted Oklahoman, Amy graduated from Broken Arrow High School, attended Oklahoma State University and, along with her husband, Jim, has called Durant home for the past 20 years. Deeply involved in community and civic activities, Amy currently dedicates her energies to a number of issues including economic development, education, sustainable water policy, and healthcare with the ultimate goal of the betterment of Oklahoma. Amy serves on the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Foundation Board of Directors, the Board of Directors for The Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, the Board of Directors for Citizens for the Protection of the Arbuckle Simpson Aquifer, and Oklahomans for Responsible Water Policy Board of Directors.
