Welcome to the Oklahoma School Security Institute!
The Oklahoma School Security Institute (OSSI) was created by the Oklahoma State Legislature in the Spring of 2013 and officially became a division of the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) on July 1, 2013.
The OSSI acts as the central repository for the public and private elementary and secondary schools of this state. Schools can contact the OSSI for information on resources to enhance school security and assess risks and threats to school campuses. The goals and objectives of the OSSI include, but are not limited to:
The OSSI will also manage a tipline where reports of activity that may compromise school safety can be submitted and disseminated to the appropriate parties for additional investigation, should it be warranted.
