You can make a difference at your community fire department.

 Every day fire fighters across the United States respond to emergencies and save lives. And while they’re trained to primarily put out fires, they provide aid in any crisis, from car accidents to natural disasters. About Fire Corps

Fire Corps facilitates opportunities for citizens to assist local fire departments. Community volunteers are encouraged to donate their time to help resource-constrained fire and rescue departments at all levels: volunteer, combination and career. Opportunities include a range of activities including fire safety outreach, youth programs and administrative support.

Fire Corps is funded through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is managed and implemented through a partnership between the National Volunteer Fire Council, the International Association of Fire Fighters and the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
