After spending several years in Brooklyn fronting the americana rock band Cheyenne, singer and songwriter Beau Jennings was in search of a new backing band upon a return to his home in Oklahoma. Enter The Tigers: based out of Blackwatch Studios in Norman, and a wrecking crew of some of the best musicians in the state, including producers Chad Copelin (organ) and Jarod Evans (guitar), guitarist Jeff Richardson (Locust Avenue), bassist Brine Webb, and drummer Eric Nauni (Student Film). Already known for their studio work on countless records, The Tigers provide a powerful and dynamic live sound to flesh out Jenningsâ?? sprawling songs on stage. Jennings has a flair for writing rock nâ?? roll Americana that sounds like itâ??s coming from somewhere between big open spaces and the highway. His endearing voice has just enough melody, compassion, and drawl to bring warmth to any ear. At times channeling the energy of early Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, other times the more modern Wilco, Beau Jennings & The Tigers have begun work on their debut recording, the Sweet Action EP, to be available late 2012.
