Please read all of the following prior to filling out this application. ALL APPLICATION FORMS MUST BE TYPEWRITTEN OR COMPUTER GENERATED
1. Applications must be received in the Board office or postmarked by the deadline date. February 1, 2012 is the deadline for the April 14, 2012 examination AND August 1, 2012 is the deadline for the October 27, 2012 examination.
2. Enclose with the application a check for the application fee of $50 made payable to OK St. Bd. for P.E. & L.S.
and mail application form to the Board Address found at the top of the application form
3. After your application is approved by the Board and processed, you will receive an e-mail notification to go to www.ncees.org and register to take the examination and receive your identification number. You will pay a $55 examination fee at that time. NCEES will contact you with information regarding the examination. After your approval you will be expected to sit for the next scheduled exam. If you are unable to sit for the exam, you must contact this office prior to the examination in writing and request a postponement by explaining the reason you are not able to attend including documentation substantiating the claim. This is subject to approval of the Board.
4. The Board will notify applicants of the exam results by mail in the form of a pass/fail notification. DO NOT call the Board office to ask your exam grade. The pass/fail notifications for the April exam will be mailed to examinees in late June, and the October pass/fail notifications will be mailed in January of the following year.
5. The FE examination is a closed book examination. A Fundamentals of Engineering Reference Handbook will be furnished to you. This handbook is for review and study but will not be brought to the examination. An identical handbook will be provided at the beginning of the morning and afternoon sessions. A list of acceptable calculators will be provided to you with your instruction material from NCEES or you may go to www.ncees.org/exams/calculators/ for the most current calculator policy.
6. Application and NCEES fees are non-refundable, unless a review of your Engineer Intern application indicate that you are ineligible to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
Special testing accommodations:
Religious and ADA accommodation requests must be received 60 days prior to the exam administration date.

If you have completed your degree, you may be able to apply for the fundamentals of engineering examination on the PE application if:
1. You have graduated from an EAC/ABET approved engineering program and have completed at least four (4) years of progressive, board acceptable engineering experience following the degree. Three (3) years experience is required if you have obtained your M.S. degree in engineering as well as your EAC/ABET approved engineering degree.
OR
2. You have graduated from a non EAC/ABET approved engineering or related science program and have completed at least six (6) years of progressive, board acceptable engineering experience following the degree. (Approved non-U.S. education is considered under this Section.)
If application is made on the PE application, the cut-off dates for applying are December 1 for the Spring exam and June 1st for the Fall exam. Upon completion of the processing of the application (which usually takes three to six weeks), the application will be reviewed. If the Board approves the application for you to sit for the FE and PE examinations, you will be required to pass the FE exam before being admitted to the PE exam. All Non-U.S. or Related Science Education Programs (other than TAC/ABET Accredited technology programs or accredited architectural programs:
1. If your education is from an institution not currently recognized by our Board as being accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET), or your degree is not an approved related science curriculum, the Board requires that your education be evaluated prior to being certified as an Engineer Intern or applying on the P.E. application.
