SAC Grant Projects

1.  Arrest-Related Deaths - Obtain statewide data on deaths occurring in the process of arrest or in pursuit of arrest as a component of the BJS Deaths in Custody Reporting Program (DCRP).

2.  Crime Victimization Survey - Conduct a statewide survey to generate estimates of the volume and nature of crime in Oklahoma.

3.  SAC Website - Design and develop a website to allow access to published research, data sets, and other SAC resources.

Other Unit Projects

Domestic Violence

• Domestic Violence Trends in Muskogee - ASA/BJS Small Grant to collect and analyze domestic violence trends in Muskogee using SIBRS data and to produce a first responder resource guide for law enforcement.

Needs Assessment

• 2010 Oklahoma Law Enforcement Needs Assessment - Survey of Oklahoma law enforcement agencies, researchers, victim's advocates, and others in the justice community to determine focus areas for new research during the coming year.
