New Information and Reward Offered in Boise City Homicide

The OSBI is seeking the suspect who murdered an elderly man in Cimarron County, Oklahoma, Wednesday afternoon.  The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male, 5’6”-5’8”, medium build, in his late 20s to early 30s.  He was seen fleeing the area on foot wearing khaki shorts and a dark colored t-shirt.  Agents are also seeking information regarding a late 1990s to early 2000s Chevy extended cab pickup truck that was also seen leaving the area.  The witnesses described the truck as dark in color with three doors.

Seventy-seven-year-old Charles Nieman, of Alva, Oklahoma, was shot after he got out of his truck at a convenience store.  Nieman’s wife was inside the vehicle parked in front of the Loaf’n Jug.  The Boise City Police Department received a 911 call just after 1 p.m. reporting the shooting.  Nieman was transported to the Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City where he died a short time later.

The Boise City police chief requested OSBI assistance.  The OSBI is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder.  At this time, if anyone has information in this case, please call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
