OSBI Assists with Double Homicide in Bryan County

The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County District Attorney’s Office, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are working together to solve a double homicide that occurred this afternoon four miles east of Bennington. The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about 2 p.m. alerting them to the shootings. When officers and emergency crews arrived at the home on Highway 70, they found one male was dead at the scene. The second male victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The names of these two victim will not be released until the next of kin for both have been notified. No one has been arrested. However, a male at the scene is in investigative detention. Investigators will serve a search warrant on the home to begin collecting evidence. Officials are also interviewing several witnesses.
