OSBI Offers Reward in 5-Year-Old Cherokee County Double Murder Case

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed a Cherokee County couple nearly five years ago. Jack Denney, 65, and Elaine Denney, 66, were found inside their rural home on Christmas Day 2007. Both had been shot to death. The couple lived just south of Locust Grove.

"Agents have followed dozens of leads in the past years. But investigators need the public’s help to develop new leads. We believe someone who lives in the area may have information that could help agents solve this case,” Jessica Brown, OSBI PIO, says. If anyone has information, please call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017. That phone line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The $10,000 reward is the maximum the law allows OSBI to offer.
