OSBI Investigates Custer County Homicide

This afternoon, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with a homicide. A person driving along a rural road in Custer County notified law enforcement she thought she saw a dead body on the side of the road. Deputies responded and found the body of Chas Bearshield (d.o.b. 10-18-1988). Trauma to the body indicates he was a murder victim. The Clinton man was last known alive October 15th. If anyone saw him that day or after that day, please contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017. No other information is available at this time.
