Thursday (9/13) just after noon a man was awakened inside his home at 14610 N. 1747 Road in Vinson (west of Mangum) in Harmon County to three women burglarizing his home. The disabled man shot and killed one of the women just outside his home. The other two women fled in a Ford Mustang. Those two women were later arrested by Beckham County deputies near Elk City. About 1:15 p.m. the Harmon County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI help work the case.
The two women who were stopped by deputies were booked into the Beckham County Jail for burglary in the first degree. The names of those women are Misty Dawn Puskaric (d.o.b. 12-6-1985) and Starr Michelle Timmons (d.o.b. 3-12-1975). Both women are from the Elk City area as is the deceased woman, Mary Kathleen Sanders (d.o.b. 3-22-1962). Sanders was a former employee of the home owner.
OSBI agents have served a search warrant on the women’s Ford Mustang for any evidence of the burglary. The two women will be transported to the Harmon County Jail at a future date to answer to the charges.
