OSBI Investigates Bryan County Homicide

The OSBI is assisting the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department with a homicide that occurred Tuesday evening at a home in the southern part of the county near The Peanut Shoppe off Highway 69/75.

There, Steve Weger (d.o.b. 1-26-1954) was shot and killed at his home at approximately 7:45 p.m. No one is under arrest at this point, but law enforcement has identified the shooter.

The Bryan County Sheriff will be the media’s contact person on this case.
