OSBI Agents Assist with McIntosh County Murder

OSBI agents are investigating a homicide in McIntosh County approximately 5 miles west of Checotah on Highway 266. Firefighters were alerted to a home on fire just after 3 o’clock this morning. Inside the burning brick home, firefighters found a woman’s body believed to be the homeowner, Deborah Kathryn Kelsoe (d.o.b. 12-2-1954).

The McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department requested OSBI assistance in what appears to be a homicide. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is also assisting to determine if the fire was intentionally set.
