Former Teacher Arrested for Lewd Acts with Child

A former Stroud kindergarten teacher and high school cheerleading coach is charged with one count of Lewd or Indecent Proposals or Acts to a Child Under 16. Mandi Layne Guerrero (d.o.b. 11-10-1977) turned herself in at the Lincoln County Jail this afternoon on a warrant for the above charge. Her bond was set at $5,000.

The Stroud Police Department was contacted April 12, 2012, about an inappropriate relationship between Guerrero, teaching for Stroud at that time, and a 15-year-old girl. Stroud Police requested Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Agents investigate the allegation. At the conclusion of the OSBI investigation, Agents delivered a comprehensive report to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney’s Office determined a charge of Lewd or Indecent Proposals or Acts to a Child Under 16 was appropriate.
