Reward Offered in Suspicious Death Case in LeFlore County
The OSBI is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information regarding the cause of death of Jody Wilson, 23, of Wister. If the cause of death is determined to be a homicide, the reward is payable if the information leads to an arrest and conviction in her murder.
Wilson’s body was found May 8, 2009, by a paraglider flying above the Runestone State Park near Heavener in LeFlore County. The next day her husband, Donald “Bo” Wilson, reported his wife missing to Wister Police.
The medical examiner’s office identified the body as Jody Wilson, but doctors could not determine a cause and manner of death due to decomposition. The LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with this case.
June 8, 2009, Wilson’s vehicle was located at the Pig Out Palace parking lot in Henryetta. Agents with the OSBI, FBI, and deputies with the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department have conducted numerous interviews and flowed up on investigative leads.
If anyone has information on this case, please contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
