Ada Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

December 21, 2011, members of the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Computer Crimes Unit arrested Jimmy Lee Pitman (d.o.b. 11/8/1953) at his residence, 1315 Willow Brook, Ada, Oklahoma, for possession of child pornography. A detective with the Franklin County, California, Sheriff’s Office, which is a member of the California ICAC Task Force, initiated the investigation. Pitman approached the detective from Franklin County in a Yahoo Chat Room where Pitman requested the exchange of child pornography. The detective tracked Pitman’s Internet activity to Ada. The detective then contacted the Oklahoma ICAC Task Force. OSBI agents contacted Pitman at his residence and a search of his computer revealed the finding of several images of child pornography. Agents seized several computer-related items for further forensic examination and to determine if there are any local children in the images. Pitman was booked into the Pontotoc County Jail for Possession of Child Pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. Bond was set at $50,000.
