Love County Shooting

The Love County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with a shooting that took place Sunday (12/19) afternoon in Jimtown.  Montie Slawson (d.o.b. 11-18-1946) was hit by gunfire and transported to Parkland Hospital in Texas with non-life threatening wounds.  Agents and deputies arrested Jimmy Dale Householder (d.o.b. 9-18-1948)  for shooting with intent to kill.  Victor Lynn Slawson (d.o.b. 11-5-1967), Montie Slawson’s son, was also arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

The shootings occurred after an altercation between the two neighboring families just yards from the Jimtown Fire Department.
