Agents Investigate Drive-by Shooting on Turner Turnpike

The OSBI was requested by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol last night to assist with a drive-by shooting on the Turner Turnpike, westbound between Stroud and Chandler at mile marker 175. At approximately 11pm Thursday, Donald Maurice Walters (d.o.b. 7/2/1980) and Lorell A. Battle (d.o.b. 6/9/1982) were traveling westbound when a vehicle drove by and shot at them. The victims stopped the car beside a concrete median and exited the vehicle. The suspect vehicle turned around traveling eastbound, drove past the victims, and fired more rounds. Both victims were shot and wounded. Both were transported to a Tulsa-area hospital. OSBI is processing the victims’ vehicle and continue to search for the suspect vehicle and its occupants. At this point, agents are working on a suspect vehicle description.
