Okmulgee Man Arrested for Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

Wednesday, November 2nd, OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit Agents, Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Deputies, Oklahoma Attorney General’s Investigators, and District 25 DA’s Investigators arrested John David McAlister (03/27/2011) on complaints of aggravated Possession of Child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and violation of the Oklahoma computer crimes act. Officers served a search warrant and arrested McAlister at his home, 1809 N. Collins, Okmulgee, OK, Wednesday morning. Several pieces of computer equipment were seized as a result of the search warrant. The proactive case was initiated by an undercover OSBI investigation into the distribution of child pornography. McAlister distributed child pornography images to the undercover agent on two occasions.

An on-site forensic computer preview revealed more than 100 child pornography images on one of McAlister’s computers. A full forensic examination will determine the total number of child pornography images and videos on the equipment and will help determine if there are any local child victims. McAlister was booked into the Okmulgee County Jail. His bond was set at $150,000.
