Arrest Warrant Issued in Le Flore County Double Murder

The person of interest in the double murder of a Le Flore County couple last week has been charged with that crime. A warrant for the arrest of Kevin Statham (d.o.b. 6/26/61) has been issued and the warrant sent to North Dakota where he sits in jail arrested July 7th on a felony warrant from 2009 in Le Flore County for larceny of a motor vehicle.

The OSBI believes Kevin shot and killed his parents, 70-year-old Paul and 69-year-old Helen Statham, at their home at 21299 Old Bokoshe School Road in Bokoshe July 4th. He then stole a number of items from their home including their 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck, his mother’s purse, and a shotgun. Those stolen items and the truck were recovered either in Kevin’s possession or in a home where he was staying with a friend in Lakota, North Dakota.

The OSBI is working with North Dakota authorities to bring Kevin Statham back to Oklahoma to face the two first degree murder charges.
