Agents Help Investigate Murder in Haskell County

The Haskell County Sheriff’s Department requested OSBI assistance involving a double shooting near Stigler Monday evening (7/11/11). Stigler Police received a 911 call from Josua Alan Bowen about 6:45 p.m. reporting that he had found his mother and step-father shot at their home located at 20159 East Perry Road in Stigler. Bowen’s step-father Herbert Wayne Moore (d.o.b. 12/06/39) was dead at the scene. Bowen’s mother Vickie Lynn Moore (d.o.b. 4/20/59) was still alive and transported to the local hospital. She was able to provide law enforcement information regarding the shooting. Based upon that information, Haskell County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Bowen (d.o.b. 2/5/93) at the Moore’s home for the murder.

OSBI agents will continue to gather information and evidence to aid the district attorney’s office in this case.
