Agents Help Investigate Bryan County Shooting

The Bryan County Sheriff's Office requested OSBI assistance late this afternoon involving a shooting that took place in the town of Mead. There, a man shot Kevin Metcalf one time in the chest. The shooter, who has not been arrested and will not be identified until or unless he is arrested or charged with a crime, made Metcalf leave his home at 5435 Highway 70 West last night. This afternoon, Metcalf returned. The OSBI is obtaining a search warrant for the home to collect any evidence at the scene. Metcalf, who is in his late 20s, was mediflighted to Plano, Texas, where doctors are operating.
