Mayor of Jay Arrested

An OSBI agent has arrested the Mayor of Jay on a felony count of embezzlement. OSBI was requested to open the case in July 2010. Wayne Dunham (d.o.b.9-6-52) was arrested inside his office at city hall this afternoon and booked into the Delaware County Jail. OSBI's investigation reveals Dunham embezzled more than $18,000 from the city. City Clerk Teresa Smith-Gross (d.o.b.1-18-61) was also arrested in relation to this case for accessory after the fact -- a felony. She, too, was booked into the county jail.
