Cherokee County Murder Suspect Apprehended Overnight

Bronson Butcher was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshal's Office and ATF just before midnight Wednesday (3-17) at a friend's home in rural Hulbert.  A warrant for the arrest of Butcher was issued Wednesday for the homicide of Dane Dunegan of Oktaha.  Dunegan was shot several times inside a home in Tahlequah and lifeflighted to a Tulsa area hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Butcher was booked into the Cherokee County Dentention Center in Tahlequah.  Tahlequah Police requested OSBI assistance on this case.
