Agent of the Year

Special Agent Francia Thompson is this year’s OSBI Agent of the Year.  During the year, she worked 24 crime scenes in the South Central Region.  More than half were after-hour call outs and 22 involved a violent offense ranging from Assault with a Deadly Weapon to Murder.  She spent more than 1,000 hours processing these scenes collecting evidence, documenting that evidence, and working closely with the Forensic Science Center to ensure nothing was overlooked.

As a bilingual agent, Thompson serves as an interpreter for many agencies, teaches basic Spanish to law enforcement students, and speaks to young school students on the importance of a good education.
