11/30/09 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OSBI Honors Agent of the Year
OSBI employees honored the state’s top investigator during a ceremony at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum today.
Special Agent Reanae Childers, who works in the southeast region of the state, is the 2009 Agent of the Year for her investigative expertise and tenacity displayed during criminal investigations. Her quick response time, aptitude to interpret complicated evidence, and vast knowledge of investigative techniques resulted in two recent arrests in brutal homicide cases. Childers’ determination has provided justice for the families of Pamela Perser and Vivian and Rebecca Pierce.
OSBI Director Dr. DeWade Langley and OSBI Commissioners presented Childers the award during the ceremony. Childers has worked as an agent for 19 years. She worked as a criminalist for four years before that.
