OSBI Investigates Langston University Shooting
OSBI agents were called out to the scene of the shooting at Langston University over the weekend. Four men were wounded by gunfire and one man was arrested for an unrelated crime.
The shootings took place after a welcome back party at the university. Once everyone left the party, they gathered in the parking lot where the shots were fired.
Rameer Dixon, 22, was shot in the back; Antwone Williams, 22, was shot in the leg; Merlyn McGary,20, was hit in the head by a bullet; and Timothy Ruisher, 22, was shot in the thigh. The men are from the Oklahoma City metro area. They were transported to an Oklahoma City area hospital.
David Stephens, 23, was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm. He is not considered a suspect at this time.
OSBI has no suspects at this time. No witnesses have admitted to seeing the shooting. Anyone with information about this crime should call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
