Press Conference Called in Weleetka Girls' Murder

The OSBI and Okfuskee County District Attorney’s Office is holding a press conference July 30th, at the Okfuskee County Courthouse at 11:30 am to announce new information on the case.

This new information comes in the form of a sizeable increase to the current reward offered for the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for killing 13-year-old Taylor Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker in June of 2008.

That current reward sets at approximately $40,000. Anyone with information should call the state crimestoppers hotline at 1-800-635-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
