Two Arrested in Okemah Murder

OSBI agents along with Okemah Police have arrested two men in connection with an overnight murder.

Victor Berryhill, Junior, 24, was found dead in the parking lot of the Creek Nation Housing Complex at 101 B. Este-Cat in Okemah about 5 o’clock this morning.

It appears Berryhill was beaten and stabbed to death. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine exact cause and manner of death.

Just hours after the murder, authorities arrested two brothers for the homicide – Tony Gipson (dob 6-23-91) and his 16 –year-old brother. OSBI will not release the juvenile’s name until after he is charged. Both were arrested on a complaint of first degree murder. All the individuals are from the Okemah area.
