Woman's Body Identified in LeFlore County

The evening of Friday, May 8th, a paraglider flying over Poteau Mountain in LeFlore County spotted a body. He contacted the sheriff’s office who in turn contacted OSBI agents. The badly decomposed body of a female was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Tulsa for an autopsy and to establish her identity.

This morning, the medical examiner’s office made the positive identification of Jody Rilee Wilson (dob 8-8-85) of Wister. She was last seen Tuesday evening. The medical examiner has not determined cause/manner of death yet. OSBI and the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office are investigating this case as a suspicious death.

Currently, officials are searching for Wilson’s vehicle. It is a pewter colored, 2002, Chevy S10 Blazer, 4 door with an Oklahoma license tag of DTG-409 with a CB antenna on top.
