OSBI Helps Adair County Authorities Investigate Double Shooting 

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office has requested the assistance of OSBI agents in an overnight shooting where two people were injured. The shooting happened about 3 o’clock in the morning off of New Piney Road in rural Adair County. Justin Harburger (dob 8-20-81) and Jerod Neale (dob 7-18-83) were both shot by an elderly man who lived in the area. They were transported to a hospital in Arkansas by helicopter. The two victims had stopped their car, gotten out and were fighting each other when the elderly man fired his weapon.

No one has been arrested at this point. OSBI will keep the district attorney apprised of the case and deliver a written prosecution report to that office.
