OSBI Names Non Commissioned Employee of the Year

Susan Proffitt, a physical evidence technician, is this year’s OSBI Non-Commissioned Employee of the Year. Proffitt was presented her award during a ceremony at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

This past year, Proffitt’s work load increased by volumes when the Tahlequah lab where she works also became a regional office for the Investigative Division of OSBI. She suddenly became an assistant to agents as well. During this time, a second physical evidence technician working in that office was out on family medical leave for several months. She took on that position’s responsibilities as well.

As though taking on the duties of three positions was not enough to fill her day, Proffitt scanned more than 7,000 pages of old case files into the bureau’s imaging system.

Proffitt kept that office afloat by efficiently delegating her time between the criminalists and investigative division – proving she is a huge asset to the bureau.
