OSBI Names 2008 Criminalist of the Year

The OSBI has named DNA analyst Janice Joslin Criminalist of the Year for her ability to work DNA cases quickly and accurately. In one year’s time, Joslin closed 136 cases – one-third more than her peers. Due to her hard work, she helped reduce the turnaround time on cases by two-thirds. That dedication to case work brings solace to ailing victims and grieving families.

Joslin also works to make sure evidence is properly retrieved by training new SANE nurses in collection methods for sexual assault evidence.

Joslin works out of the OSBI Laboratory in Tahlequah and has been with the bureau for four years.
