Man Arrested in Tryon Police Department Burglary

May 11^th, 2008, the Tryon Police Department was burglarized. The thief stole several guns and other law enforcement equipment.  The police chief requested OSBI help investigate.

Thursday, May 29^th, OSBI Agents and District 23 Drug Task Force Officers arrested 26-year-old Kevin Keith Herrman at a friend’s home north of Agra.  In Herrman’s possession were two stolen handguns, a shotgun, and a police radio – all taken from the Tryon Police Department.  He was booked into the Lincoln County Jail.  OSBI does not have a mug shot to share.

Tryon Police and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department also assisted in the investigation.  More arrests in this burglary could happen.
