Le Flore County Murder Suspect Arrested

Homicide suspect Robert Lynn Owens was arrested on a murder warrant this afternoon.  His girlfriend, Michelle Dees, was also arrested.

Owens shot and killed Jeffrey Tackett (dob 5/23/79) early Saturday morning (1/5/08) inside Owens’ Spiro home.  Owens and Dees had been on the run from authorities since the shooting.

OSBI agents and Le Flore County Sheriff’s Deputies spent days running leads on Owens’ whereabouts creating so much pressure on the fugitives that they turned themselves into authorities at the Le Flore County Courthouse.
