Cause of Death Revealed in Texas Co. Jail Death

Tuesday morning, Ronnie Lee Morehead of Hardesty died at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon after guards found him convulsing in a holding cell at the Texas County Detention Center.

Morehead had been arrested Monday night on a DUI complaint by Hardesty Police and booked into jail.  Tuesday morning, Morehead was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The Texas County Sheriff called in OSBI to investigate the death. The medical examiner’s office took the body for an autopsy.

A report by the medical examiner’s office in Oklahoma City reveals Morehead died of natural causes stemming from a massive heart attack.
