7/12/07 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Increase in Reward for Clues in El Reno Murder
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is increasing its reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the murder of an El Reno man in May.
Last month, OSBI set up a reward of up to $5,000. Today, that reward has doubled to up to $10,000. Agents are hopeful this sizeable increase will encourage someone with information about the murder of Jim Shaw to come forward. Shaw, 73, was stabbed to death inside his home May 21st.
Officials believe the motive for the murder was money. More than a hundred dollars was discovered missing from the home.
If anyone has information on this case, they are urged to call the OSBI hotline number at 1-800-522-8017.
