Arrests Made in Durant Murder
This afternoon (6/4) warrants were issued for three people in connection with the murder of Tristan Ace York (dob 3/5/80). York’s body was found in Lake Texhoma May 27th. An autopsy reveals he was beaten, stabbed and shot with a small caliber pistol.
Information gleaned from an investigation by federal, state and local law enforcement pointed to three suspects in Texas. Saturday evening, U.S. Marshals arrested Bobby Don Mullinix (dob 5/7/83), Charles Shannon Bussey (dob 2-9-67) and Linda Gayle Haworth (dob 10-3-63) in Mineral Wells, Texas, on unrelated charges. The three were booked into the Palo Pinto County, Texas, jail.
Today (Monday) warrants were issued relating to the murder – Mullinix and Bussey for first degree murder, Haworth for accessory to first degree murder. Bussey and Haworth live at the home where authorities believe the victim was murdered – 202 Meadowlark Lane in Durant. Mullinix is from Bells, Texas.
Agents believe the killing happened on or about May 23rd, two days after York bonded out of the Bryan County jail on drug charges. York was staying at the home on Meadowlark Lane. The motive for murder is unclear at this time. Sometime after the murder, the suspects placed York’s body in Lake Texhoma.
The suspects will go before a Texas judge soon for an extradition hearing.
