OSBI Investigates Shooting of Former Sheriff

Former Delaware County Sheriff’s Lyndon Woodruff (dob 12-31-56) was shot several times in the upper torso Sunday, June 17^th.   County authorities were called to the scene and arrested Woodruff’s wife, Candace Woodruff (dob 6/6/64), for shooting with intent to kill. 

The victim was shot at his home southwest of Colcord at about 5 p.m.  Woodruff was transported to a hospital in Arkansas where he underwent surgery.  He is expected to survive his wounds.  Woodruff served as Delaware County’s sheriff during the early 2000’s.
