OSBI Makes Arrest in Morning Shooting

OSBI agents have arrested James Sargent (dob 11/17/44) for shooting with intent to kill 51-year-old Pam Yarborough.  Sargent shot Yarborough near Stroud early this morning and left her in the middle of highway 99 about 4 miles south of Stroud.  A motorist saw the victim at approximately 6 o’clock this morning and called authorities.

Sargent was also arrested for violation of a victim protection order Yarborough had filed.  Yarborough’s car was found about a mile from the shooting.   She was flown to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition.  Sargent is booked into the Lincoln County jail in Chandler.
