Wal-Mart Donates Money for OSBI Forensic Lights
Wal-Mart has presented OSBI with nearly $17,000 in grant money to purchase alternate forensic lights. The money will allow OSBI to buy nine portable forensic lights to be used by crime scene agents in the field. These lights will help the agent find bodily fluids, trace evidence or latent fingerprints that the human eye cannot see.
Currently, crime scene agents do not have such portable devices. Due to this grant money, each crime scene agent across the state will have his own forensic light to find evidence at crime scenes. This new tool will make OSBI more efficient at solving crime.
